Heart River Municipal Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Dickinson, North Dakota.
The course opened in 1963 with 9 holes designed by Abe Espinosa. In 1983, Dick Phelps and Brad Benz redesigned the original 9 holes and added nine new holes, expanding the course to 18 holes.
The course borders the Heart River with views of Patterson Lake. The course combines a rolling top nine with a wooded bottom nine that brings plenty of trees and water into play.
Par for the course is 72 for men and 71 for women. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,652 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5583 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 551 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 152 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 10, a 457-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Heart River Golf Course is # 4, a 387 yard par-4.

New spinkler system should imporve course conditions thought the year. Course is challenging, but does not beat you up. A public course that is well worth your time and money.
